Many are speculating that Priest Holmes’ surprising comeback is calculated to make Larry Johnson nervous, as Johnson angles for a new contract.  But Priest said there was no ulterior motive as he reported for training camp in River Falls yesterday.  The 33-year-old running back was forced off the field by a neck injury in October of ‘05.  He says the decision to return came, literally, overnight during a dream last Monday.  He’ll be working out separately from the rest of the Chiefs for the time being, and team doctors say he shouldn’t expect any contact drills for at least three weeks.  Even if he doesn’t get to play, Priest says he hopes his leadership skills will be of help to the team.
