QB's even

Chiefs coach Herm Edwards says the team’s quarterback competition remains a dead heat between Brodie Croyle and Damon Huard.  Second year man Croyle will start tomorrow night in the first preseason game against the Cleveland Browns.  Huard, a ten-year vet, takes the starting role next Thursday when the Chiefs face former Kansas City quarterback Trent Green, who’s now with the Miami Dolphins.  Croyle says he has the necessary physical attributes to take the starting job.  Huard says he’s the steadier of the two, and doesn’t turn the ball over as often as Croyle does.  Even though the two QBs are in a tough competition right now, both say they are great friends off the field.
