Tuesday the Chiefs signed free agent kicker Dave Rayner to a two-year contract.  Financial terms of the deal were not released.  Rayner spent last season in Green Bay, nailing 26 of his 35 field goal attempts and 31-of-32 extra points.  He tied the Packers’ franchise record with a 54-yard field goal at Philadelphia on October 2nd.  Rayner has appeared in 30 games in his first two years in the league since being drafted in the sixth round of the 2005 draft by Indianapolis.  The signing means that the Chiefs have seen enough for now of rookie kicker Jason Medlock, who struggled once again on Sunday in the loss to the Texans.
