Herm Edwards says the perception was that the Chiefs didn’t have much of a chance to win in San Diego yesterday. But he talked with the guys about not letting perception become reality. Now, they’re tied at 2-and-2 for the AFC West lead, after a stunning 30-16 come-from-behind victory. Kansas City was down at the half, 16-6, but then scored 24 unanswered points. Tony Gonzalez ties the NFL record of 62, for the most-ever touchdown catches by a tight end. In the fourth quarter, rookie Dwayne Bowe caught a Damon Huard touchdown pass, carrying it 51 yards for the score. It was his third straight game with a score. This marks the 50th regular-season victory for Edwards as an NFL coach. Defensive end Jared Allen attributes the win to his teammates getting to know one another better.
