Jaguars Maul Chiefs 17-7 at Arrowhead

Once again, the Chiefs were deep in a hole in the middle of Arrowhead at halftime. But yesterday, they never managed to climb out. The Jacksonville Jaguars kept piling on the dirt and didn’t stop until they had buried the Chiefs 17-7. It was one of the worst rushing games ever for Kansas City, which managed only 10 yards. Brodie Croyle threw his first NFL touchdown pass to Samie Parker after Damon Huard left the game with a shoulder injury. So far, there’s no word on how serious it might be. But in a very real sense, the rest of the players, and fans, are also hurt. The only good news is that the Chiefs avoided what might have become their first home shutout in 13 years. They’re now 2-and-3, and looking forward to welcoming Cincinnati this weekend.
