Questions at Who Starts at QB Remains

It may be tomorrow before Chiefs coach Herm Edwards decides who’s going to start at quarterback Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals. Just as it was a month ago, it’s between Damon Huard and Brodie Croyle. Huard had to leave in the fourth quarter Sunday with a shoulder injury. He was set to have an MRI yesterday, and says he’s feeling a lot better. Croyle relieved Huard in the closing seconds, making his first touchdown pass as an NFL player, and saving the Chiefs from what might have been a shutout.

Does Croyle coming in mean playoffs for chiefs? Probably not. Let him develop.

Brodie Croyle needs to start. It’s time to start developing him as a QB. The Chiefs aren’t a playoff team this year anyway, but regardless, Croyle couldn’t produce any LESS with the offense than they have with Huard…who is an average QB on his best days. The future should start now…quit hanging onto the status quo with Huard already.
