
Chiefs defensive end Jared Allen has been honored with the AFC Defensive Player of the month award for October. Allen helped Kansas City post a 2-1 record and earn a share of first place in the AFC West by collecting 16 tackles, six sacks and one forced fumble. The first-time honoree leads the AFC with eight sacks. He has played well since being suspended for the first two games of the season.
