Injuries Force Chiefs To Study QB Options

Heading into Denver this weekend, Chiefs head coach Herm Edwards has to think about what he’s going to do with the quarterback position.  Brodie Croyle was back to normal practice levels yesterday for the first time since his back injury, but it’s still not known whether he’ll be able to start Sunday.  And then the team lost its third yesterday.  Tyler Thigpen is out with an injured knee.  He’ll have an MRI today.  Running back Larry Johnson handled some limited practice, but his sore ankle will keep him out this weekend.  He hasn’t played since November 4th.  So Edwards might have to put Damon Huard back in the position, at least temporarily.  Safety Bernard Pollard might be another option.
