Allen, Bowe Get Chiefs Awards

As expected, Jared Allen took the Derrick Thomas Award for team MVP. Allen led the NFL this season with 15-and-a-half sacks in six multi-sack games. He’s also about to play in his first Pro Bowl. The Mack Lee Hill Award for the best rookie goes to wide receiver Dwayne Bowe. He started 15 games, finishing the season with 70 catches, and coming close to 1,000 yards. Bowe also scored five touchdowns. He has the third-best record among rookies in Chiefs history.
