The Chiefs remain on the lookout for a new offensive coordinator, and one guy that is getting a look is former Georgia Teach coach Chan Gailey. The KC Star is reporting that coach Herm Edwards spoke with Gailey about the position, who may join Mike Shula and Eric Price as the top three men up for hte spot. The paper says that the team wants to decide on a new coordinator by next weekend. “We’re going to be as thorough as possible,” Edwards said. “When you’re talking about hiring a coordinator, you need a person who understands that position is an all-day, every-day deal. Whether it’s in the meetings with the players, on the practice field or at night with the coaching staff, there are a lot of demands on the person in this position. At the end of the day, it’s my job to make sure we’re making the best decision for our football team.” Gailey has also been a head coach in the leauge, as he was at one point the head man for the Cowboys. He also was the top offensive head for the Dolphins, Broncos and Steelers.
