Looks as if the Chiefs are going to be content to let free agent center Casey Wiegmann leave via the open market.  Today’s Topeka Capital-Journal says that the team is not expected to bring back Wiegmann, as the Chiefs would like to get a bigger, younger player to take over the center spot.  The paper says that Rudy Niswanger is an in-house guy that might be given a shot to take the spot, or the team may move G Brian Waters inside to play center.  You of course also have the draft or free agency to fill the position.  At 34 years old, Wiegmann still feels he has a few years left in the league.
