Chiefs Make Draft Selections

Coming off their worst season in decades, the Chiefs were in a prime position to draft new blood, like LSU’s Glenn Dorsey. With the fifth pick overall, the Chiefs selected the All-American defensive lineman. With their second pick in the first round, KC had to trade up a couple of spots to get Virginia offensive lineman Branden Albert. Yesterday, the Chiefs selected Tennessee’s Brad Cottam, who could back up Tony Gonzalez. Texas running back Jamaal Charles, safety DeJuan Morgan from North Carolina State, and former Missouri wide receiver Will Franklin were also taken on the second day.
