First Round Pick Dorsey Signs Five-Year Mega Deal

He missed all of one practice, but now, the Chiefs will glady put that behind them, as they have their new big man signed and sealed, as the team today inked first round pick DT Glenn Dorsey. The team announced that Dorsey, who fell to them with the 5th pick, signed a deal that reports say will pay him $51 million over five years.
“He is going to be a very good player for us,” Chiefs owner Clark Hunt said. “He’s got all the tools.” The Chiefs had better be right, as they are counting on Dorsey to step in and take some of the hurt away from the loss of Jared Allen, last years sack leader who was unhappy and they traded to the Vikings this past offseason. Dorsey will play inside while Tamba Hali will go from left DE to right DE, making room for the first round pick.
“It’s a totally different world now, playing against everybody who’s one of the best at what they do,” he said. “I can’t really tell you right now. I have to go through camp and see how it goes. I’m just going to have fun. I like to have fun when I play,” Dorsey said. The deal came down about 4:30am, and Dorsey quickly took a flight from Baton Rouge, La. and made it to the Chiefs offices in time for meetings this morning.
