With a forecast for rain on Friday, the Chiefs annual Red Friday Pep Rally will now take place at the Crown Center Exhibit Hall (2323 McGee) on Friday, September 12th beginning at 5:00 PM. The Exhibit Hall is located inside the Hyatt Regency and is accessible from the street level entrance or via The Link from the Westin.
Current Chiefs players including QB Brodie Croyle, LB Donnie Edwards, TE Tony Gonzalez, G Brian Waters, P Dustin Colquitt and DT Glenn Dorsey will be in attendance along with former Chiefs players. Hosted by “Voice of the Chiefs” Mitch Holthus, Red Friday provides Chiefs fans with live music, food and fun for the entire family as Kansas City gears up for the Chiefs 2008 home opener vs. the Oakland Raiders on Sunday, September 14th. In addition to appearances by current and former Chiefs players, cheerleaders and KC Wolf, Chiefs Chairman Clark Hunt and Chiefs President Carl Peterson will be on hand to address the crowd around 6:00 PM. Helping the Chiefs host this event are Red Friday sponsors Crown Center, DST Systems, KCTV-5 and KCFX 101.1 FM.
Chiefs Red Coaters, local celebrities, volunteers and former players will be distributing special edition Red Friday Magazines from 6:00–9:00 AM on September 12th at local metro area street corners for a suggested donation of $2. Red Friday Magazine sales directly benefit charities sponsored by Chiefs QB Brodie Croyle, LB Donnie Edwards and TE Tony Gonzalez.
