Will any Chiefs make it to Hawaii?

Pro Bowl voting started in October, but it’s not to late to cast you vote. You can go to NFL.COM and help decide on the AFC and NFC rosters. With that being said do the Chiefs have any Pro Bowlers? At 1-9 one would automatically assume the Chiefs would get shutout in the Pro Bowl department, after casting my ballot three different Chiefs made my roster, Tony Gonzalez, Dwayne Bowe and Dustin Colquitt. The Chiefs may have up to five players with a chance to get in with a strong team and individual performance down the stretch.
Brian Waters:
The one constant stabilizing force on a horrible but improving offensive line. The thing Waters has working against him is a horrible team record, to get voted in as a offensive lineman it is usually a good rule of thumb that you need to play on a winning team. Too often lineman are voted in because of team record and not individual play. Waters has not played his best this season but not too far off of some Pro Bowl seasons, in the end team record will give him almost no shot.
Tyler Thigpen:
This one might not be as far fetched as you might think, over the last 4 games Thigpen has tossed 8 TD’S and 1 INT. Extrapolated over a full season that would be 32 TD’S 4 INT’S. Granted Thigpen would have to light it up and then some to beat some of the QB’S who have been playing all season , but the Chiefs are entering one of the lighter parts of their schedule and Thigpen gets better every week. The best case scenario for Thigpen is making it as a alternate reminiscent of Tony Romo’s 2006 season.
Dwayne Bowe:
D-Bowe may no longer be a stranger to Hawaii after this season, he is tied for 2nd in the AFC in touch down catches, 7th in receptions and 9th in yards. If voters take into account the fact D-Bowe has had four different quarterbacks line up under center this season his numbers look a lot better. Receiver is a popularity contest in Pro Bowl voting and D-Bowe may not have the name recognition nation wide to get one of the four slots.
Dustin Colquitt:
Always at the top of his game the overworked Colquitt is having another great season he ranks 2nd in yards, 4th in average and 3rd in net average. Not to mention being two off the lead of kicks downed inside the opponents 20, Colquitt won’t get any national exposure because the Chiefs don’t have any primetime games and ESPN don’t talk about punters. That will hurt Colquitt as voters may have a tough time putting a face to a name of a punter from the Midwest.
Tony Gonzalez:
First in yards and catches among AFC tightends and 2nd in touchdowns, the most recognizable name on the team will get in without a shadow of a doubt…….he goes every year, you can just schedule him in for 2010 as well.
