Johnson’s Court Case Pushed Back to January

The court date for one of Chiefs RB Larry Johnson’s simple-assault cases was pushed back from December to January 21, the Kansas City Star reports.  His other ongoing case was scheduled for a hearing today, but his lawyer will ask for that hearing to be postponed as well. Johnson could potentially face another league suspension pending the results of his court dates, but if both are pushed back to January, any possible league punishment wouldn’t affect him until the 2009 season.
