Longtime Chiefs executive Carl Peterson officially stepped down as president, general manager and CEO on Tuesday. Peterson joined the Chiefs in 1989 and guided the team to a 176-143-and-1 record during his 20 years of service. Under Peterson, the Chiefs won four AFC West titles and reached the AFC Championship Game in 1993. Executive vice president and chief operating officer Denny Thum will serve as the team’s interim president and GM.
