Posted in Now that Herm Edwards has officially been shown the door in Kansas City, who is going to be the next coach of the franchise? One name already popping up is former Broncos coach Mike Shanahan, who has already spoken to the Chiefs according to ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen. He says that the Chiefs are targeting Shanahan and negotiations have occurred, according to sources. Todd Haley’s name is also reportedly on the short list as well, but they can’t talk to him till after next Sunday’s Super Bowl.
