What would the Chiefs look like with Matt Cassel under center in 2009? Today’s KC Star has a story on the possible move to get Cassel to be a Chief with whoever ends up coaching the team.
The Kansas City Chiefs don’t have a head coach yet, but there are suggestions in Boston and the midwest that New England Patriots quarterback Matt Cassell could get plenty of attention from the Chiefs especially with Scott Pioli running the operation in KC.
The Boston Herald suggests that the Chiefs could be Cassel’s top suitor and that it makes sense he could further his career at Arrowhead Stadium.
Meanhile, the Kansas City Star as suggested the Chiefs should at least consider trading their top draft pick for Cassel, who will be cheaper, more experienced and more ready than any quarterback they’d pick in the draft.
