Work Stops at Arrowhead Stadium

The KC Star reports that the work at Arrowhead Stadium has come to a halt. Here is the story:
Cement Masons Local 518 decided late Thursday to go on strike again, and members are picketing at the Truman Sports Complex and other locations today. Union leaders made the decision at 7 p.m. Thursday after realizing their contract demands would not be met, Local 518 business manager Kevin Sexton said. “Talks just broke down,” Sexton said. “I plan on being on strike until the demands are met.” Currently $600 million in renovations are under way at the stadium, and the Kansas City Royals are preparing for an open house Sunday and opening day April 10.
