Posted in The KC Star today says that it looks as if for now, Matt Cassel is not living up the billing the team thought they were getting when they inked him to a long-term deal:
What has Matt Cassel done to justify the faith the Chiefs have in him and that long-term contract? Not much recently, Cassel’s performance Sunday completed the worst two-game stretch in his Kansas City career, and this time his mistakes and inaccuracy got him benched. The way Cassel responds to being relieved by Brodie Croyle will show what the Chiefs have in Cassel, this is a huge test for the quarterback, and the franchise is counting on him to pass it.
