The National Football Post talks about a tidbit concerning the future of Chiefs LB Derrick Johnson and moving him this offseason:
There was a buzz during the season that the Kansas City Chiefs would move to trade former first-round draft pick Derrick Johnson but that never happened as he rode the pine all season instead. Johnson’s a starting-caliber outside linebacker for a 4-3 defense who didn’t fit in the Chiefs 3-4 scheme and there should be a market for him if they decide to trade him. Kansas City will be able to control his rights as a restricted free agent or perhaps place the franchise or transition tag on him with hopes of moving him in a trade.
