Stalemate Continues Between Chiefs and Safety Jarrad Page

CBS Sportsline reports that safety Jarrad Page and the club are not seeing eye to eye, and there seems to be no end to the stalemate in sight.

The situation between the Chiefs and safety Jarrad Page continues to be the quietest contract battle in the league. A restricted free agent, Page was tendered a contract by the Chiefs in February, and from then until now, neither Page nor Chiefs GM Scott Pioli has commented publicly on the situation. Page’s unwillingness to sign the tender offer made to him by the Chiefs is a pretty good indication of his desire to escape Kansas City. His absence from the team’s offseason activities has left him out of the loop with the new defense, and there are a pair of draft choices at safety to help push him off the field. Page is active on Twitter and posted earlier this week: “I know I haven’t responded to all your questions but I appreciate the love and concern from the fans and to those who talk bad on me — CRICKETS.”
