Eric Berry Already Setting a Good Example

From The Kansas City Star’s website:

Berry is already a model teammate. Brandon Flowers said that during a team meeting last night, Berry apologized for being a day late to camp and missing the first practice. At the end of today’s practice, Berry lugged not only his own gear but Dwayne Bowe’s shoulder pads and Maurice Leggett’s helmet up a hill and into the locker room.

Now, I may be a little harsh in my statement here, but why in the world is he lugging Maurice Leggett’s gear?  Why does Leggett even HAVE gear?  Does anyone else remember Miles Austin going to the Pro Bowl because Leggett (who’s soiling the #31 in many Chiefs fan’s eyes) fell down trying to cover him last year?  If Berry wanted to carry Brandon Flowers’s pads, that would be fine with me.

Oh well – I loved the kid when we drafted him, and he’s only making himself more likeable by the day.

Quite possibly setting up to be the Best Draft Class in a long, long time. Instant Impact.

These “Sensational Six” could shape the franchise and turn around the Kansas City Chiefs for many years to come.

    Berry- Difference-maker, Period.

McCluster- Devin Hester? Wow. This kid is special.

Arenas- All he did was make plays at ‘Bama, whether it was on defense or via return department.

Asamoah- Solid guard who will start.

Moeaki- 1st real TE since Tony Gonzalez. Steal of the Draft. Great value. Watching him play at Iowa —visions of the next Dallas Clark? Mismatch waiting to happen.

Lewis- Another product from Ole Miss. Kiper raved him to a new level. Will upgrade secondary and provide size, depth, versatility. Bargain selection.
