Chiefs hire Dan Crumb as Chief Financial Officer

Days after executive Denny Thum abruptly left they Chiefs, the team has hired Dan Crumb as chief financial officer. Most recently, Crumb was CFO of the NBA’s New Orleans Hornets. In his tenure at the Hornets, Crumb led the club’s accounting, human resources and information technology departments, overseeing the transition of the finance department from Oklahoma City to New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina.

In addition to financial leadership, Dan was responsible for compliance with league standards and policies. “We are very excited to welcome Dan to the Chiefs,” saiChiefs chariman and CEO Clark Hunt said. “Dan has a proven track record of success as a financial officer, and his leadership and experience make him a key addition to our business operations.” Crumb will lead the finance and information technology departments for the Chiefs, reporting to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Mark Donovan.
