Chiefs promote WR Tucker to active roster

The National Football Post reports on a roster move for the Chiefs today.

The Chiefs today promoted wide receiver Verran Tucker to the active roster from the practice squad and cut wide receiver Jeremy Hore. Tucker entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with the Cowboys earlier this year.

The 6-foot-1, 204-pounder spent the first five games of the season on the Chiefs’ practice squad.

He played in 23 games at the University of California, catching 50 passes for 815 yards with four touchdowns after starting his collegiate career at El Camino Junior College.

Horne played in three games with Kansas City this year after originally joining the club as a rookie free agent from the University of Massachusetts.
