Chiefs Putting Together Workout Plans In Case Of Lockout

The Chiefs are making contingency plans in case a lockout ensues. Safety Eric Berry and running back Jamaal Charles told the Kansas City Star of their intentions during a banquet where Berry was named Chiefs Rookie of the Year and Charles was honored as the Chiefs’ Most Valuable Player. “We will have to get the people together,” Charles said.

Berry said the Chiefs have tentative plans for April if the formal offseason program hasn’t begun. “We’ll just come up then, find somewhere to work out or just see what’s going on,” Berry said. “I know we could work out somewhere. That’s the date we kind of set to come up and either have a meeting or something to kind of get on the same page. We’ll probably move toward something like that, just to make sure we’re all in accord. Our goal is to come out ahead. I’ve been talking to everybody in the off-season. They’re pretty much ready to go. Everyone’s been working out and getting ready for this upcoming season. We don’t know when it’s going to start but I’m pretty sure the Chiefs are going to be ready.”
