Quinten Lawrence Being Moved from WR to DB

Pro Football Weekly reports that Quinten Lawrence is being moved this camp from WR to defensive back.

Quinten Lawrence didn’t make much of an impact the past two seasons as a wide receiver — only one catch for nine yards — so the Chiefs are moving him to defensive back. Lawrence played both sides of the ball in college at McNeese State, and he’ll be covering pass catchers this year in camp instead of working with them. Unless he thrives at his new position, however, it’s a long shot that the 2009 sixth-rounder makes the team’s final 53-man roster.
