Chiefs Sign Eight Players To Their Practice Squad

After finalizing their 53-man roster a day earlier, the Chiefs brought back some familiar names on Sunday. Added to the Kansas City back-up brigade, FB/TE Shane Bannon, LB Justin Cole, G Darryl Harris, WR Jeremy Horne, DB Quinten Lawrence, OL Butch Lewis, OL David Mims and DT Anthony Toribio.

Each of the eight added that were added on Sunday were in camp with the Chiefs from the onset of training camp. Based on the way the Chiefs put together their primary roster it’s no surprise they went heavy on adding more offensive lineman to their taxi squad. In addition, the addition of Bannon gives the Chiefs time to see if they can develop him into a serviceable tight end.

David Mims is a great story of a special player overcoming long odds to make the NFL by knocking people on their asses. This weapon of a player will not be sitting on the Chiefs practice squad long.

David Mims dominate and early journey with my Chiefs is exciting. Not many NFL teams have this type of rare, young, pure talent to build around. Mark it down, David Mims will be a Starter in the NFL next year at Left Tackle. Go Chiefs
