Chiefs Officially Place Pro Bowl Safety Eric Berry on IR

The Chiefs announced that they have placed Pro Bowl safety Eric Berry on injured reserve with a torn ACL.

Berry was injured during Sunday’s 41-7 loss to the Bills after a low-block by wide receiver Stevie Johnson in the first quarter.

Replacing Berry on the 53-man roster is safety Reshard Langford. Originally signed by the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Vanderbilt, Langford recorded six special teams tackles in six games with the Chiefs last season.

The Chiefs also terminated long-snapper Kyle Nelson and Lucas Patterson from the practice squad, replacing them with fullback Shane Bannon and offensive lineman Butch Lewis.

David Mims continues to get better at his craft, keeping the QB upright and giving RB’s room to roam by learning his profession quickly. David Mims is a rare and special NFL talent and is ready to make an impact on the Chiefs line. Hey Chiefs, others are watching…..
