Chiefs Bring Back TE Anthony Becht

The Chiefs announced the re-signing of veteran tight end Anthony Becht.

A 2000 first-round pick out of West Virginia by the New York Jets, Becht has 185 receptions for 1,511 yards and 21 touchdowns during his career, which has also included stints with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2005-07), St. Louis Rams (2008), Arizona Cardinals (2009) and two games with the Chiefs earlier this season.

The Chiefs released Becht last month after he suffered a hamstring injury, but had planned on re-signing once he got healthy.

Becht takes the roster spot that was opened when wide receiver Jeremy Horne was placed on waivers on Tuesday.
