Chiefs Come to Terms with FA Safety Kyle McCarthy

Late last week, free agent safety Kyle McCarthy tweeted that he had agreed to terms with the Chiefs.

According to a league source, that deal became official on Tuesday.

Undrafted out of Notre Dame in 2010, the 6-foot, 200-pound McCarthy signed with the Denver Broncos, recording four tackles in eight games before he was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury.

McCarthy spent much of 2011 on the Broncos’ practice squad, appearing in four of the final five games of the season.
