Chiefs Ink Former Browns Free Agent Back Peyton Hillis

The Kansas City Chiefs have added a big back to complement Jammal Charles, as today the team agreed to terms with Madden 12 cover boy Peyton Hillis.

The former Browns RB is reunited with former Browns offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, who has that job with the Chiefs.

It was back in 2010 under Daboll that Hillis had a huge season, rushing for 1,177 yards and nine touchdowns and was second on the team with 61 receptions for 477 yards and two TDs.

Hillis had all kinds of issues in 2011, first getting strep throat the third week of the season and missing a win over the Dolphins that drew all kinds of drama.

It was just the start, as he he also missed time during the year with a hamstring injury. He missed six games, rushed for 587 yards and alienated some teammates with his attitude and off-field behavior.

Nevertheless, he adds a big back to the Chiefs offense, and will get chances to make plays for a team that finished strong a season ago.
