Matt Cassel will get his second straight start for the Chiefs Monday night when they take the field to take on the Steelers in Pittsburgh.
Brady Quinn has not been cleared for contact following his concussion and will miss his second straight start Monday night. Cassel was the starter the first five games of the season before sustaining a concussion and then losing the job during the bye week.
Quinn was hurt early in the Chiefs’ loss to Oakland on Oct. 28. He missed Thursday night’s game at San Diego, when Kansas City dropped to 1-7 with its fifth straight loss.
Cassel rallied the Chiefs to a win over the Steelers in KC back in 2009, while last season the team beat KC at Arrowhead beating Tyler Palko, who played for the injured Cassel.
